Prom is around the corner, and I am finally a senior. With the new year came sentiment on my last year in high school; unfortunately, prom-dress craze arrived as well. Even though it’s EXTREMELY early in the year, girls are stressing at incredible levels about prom, so I’m going to try to help them out.
– If you want a specific color, that cuts your options by 1/10, and that’s incredibly helpful.
-If you want a leg split, an open back, or even a low V down the cleavage, you options also significantly shrink.
Now, once you now Color and Cut, you can find a price range and start looking!
If you dont want to spend more than 800 dollars, do not go on Saks or Neiman. Your best bet is to try Revolve, BCBGMAXARIA, or even Nasty Gal. I would stray from Prom Girl and Sherri Hill
Now, it’s time to accessorize. Shoes come first. When purchasing shoes for prom, the most important thing is comfort. The easiest way to assure comfort is platformed heels. Here are a few options that could amplify your height, and keep your feet happy.
Prada, Gucci, Jeffrey Campbell
Then comes the bag. The best way to not lose your bag, is to use a bag with a chain or strap. I recommend using a side bag that could reverse as a clutch for pictures. For example, the YSL chain bag, the Jimmy Choo clutches, or the small Chanel.
Jewelry is very personal. But you get the point. Prom is extremely stressful if you are not prepared. Also, you dont have to splurge on bags and shoes!! These are simply example of shapes and colors that would be to your benefit.
